Southwest FL – At the January luncheon the Military Officers Association of Sarasota we enjoyed a very informative presentation on Ringling College of Art and Design given by VP for Advancement Stacy Corley.

She discussed many aspects of the College to include their varied curriculum. A BA or BFA is available in 14 different majors with 9 different minors. She featured two videos in her presentation; one showing life at the college and the area, and the second, a senior thesis animated short story demonstrating the value of creativity.

The student body is from 57 countries, 44 states, 4 Commonwealths & territories, with 36% Floridians. There are over 40 veteran students and several veterans on staff. Ringling’s tuition was $42,000 for 2019-2020 school year, and over 90% of the students receive some form of financial aid.

Almost 70% of the students live on campus as the studies are very intense and students use the computer labs at all hours.
