Dr. David Zonies: “How To Avoid Cardiologists”

You won’t want to miss the February MOAS Luncheon. We have a repeat presentation from Dr. David C. Zonies M.D., FACC. His topic will be "How to Avoid Being a Cardiologists' Patient." Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, Dr. Zonies is a very informative and entertaining speaker.


A military veteran, Dr. Zonies served as a Major in the US Army from 1967 to1969; Walson Army Hospital, Ft. Dix NJ (1967), and the 50th Medical Clearing Company and the 24th Evacuation Hospital, Long Binh, Vietnam (1968-1969). At that time, the base functioned as a U.S. Army base, a logistics center, and a major command headquarters for United States Army Vietnam (USARV).


Dr. Zonies, brother of MOAS member Bob Zonies, earned his BS at the University of Notre Dame in 1958; his MD from Northwestern University School of Medicine in 1962; followed by Internships and Fellowships in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Neurology all at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania from 1962 to 1967. Dr. Zonies was in private practice of Interventional Cardiology (Pacemakers, cardiac catheterizations, stents etc.) from 1969 until his retirement from active practice. He consulted for major legal firms evaluating possible mass tort litigation in the cardiology field until retiring from a special group of Consulting Cardiologists.
