All, just a note to let you know about this upcoming "free" event, 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, February 27 Gold Coast Eagle Distributing Company 7051 Wireless Court Lakewood Ranch, which features our own BG Jim Hesson USA (Retired) and a topic near and dear to his (and our) heart, "From Forgotten Soldier to Celebrated Veteran"!
You may recall that Jim has been passionate in his efforts over the past two years to lead our partnership and participation in meeting the objectives of the 50th Anniversary Commemoration of the Vietnam War and, in particular, "To thank and honor veterans of the Vietnam War, including personnel who were held as prisoners of war (POW), or listed as missing in action (MIA), for their service and sacrifice on behalf of the United States and to thank and honor the families of these veterans", and to ensure that all Vietnam Veterans, their surviving spouses and family members receive their commemorative pins.
