Website Report

Our website sarasotamoaa.com is working well. Please let us know if you see something that should be corrected. Email corrections to sarasotamoaa@gmail.com

Len Friedlander, Ron Wozniak, and Craig Hullinger can update the website. We are still not too confident - It is not PFC or old Colonel friendly.  There will be times when we need to get the consultant to correct some complex things.

We have all of our links working on the website. They can be found under Follow Our links. We still need input for history and military stories.  You don't have to write a treatise, just a few paragraphs will help.

The website has symbols at the top right of the site that takes you to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. If you use those systems please follow and post. The idea here is to get peer to peer communication among our members.  Our website and blogs are top down communications, which is good, but it would be better if our members start connecting with other members and us directly.

After we post some item on one of the blogs we repost that info to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Pinterest.

24 July 2020 Yahoo North Jetty Park 1000 S. Casey Road, Nokomis

I wanted to pass on that the address takes you to the correct parking lot. As soon as you turn off S Casey Road into the lot drive straight back to the right corner of the lot towards the Gulf. There is a short walkway to the beach.

It is about 300 feet from the end of the walkway to the waters edge. I  also attached a photo of my red Jeep parked by the walkway to the beach.

August 2020 Support Our Troops

Troops Who Received Sarasota MOAA Care Packages
Contacted CSM Johnson of Task Force Falcon via e-mail and they and two other Task Forces (TF) in Afghanistan will be able to continue to receive SOT boxes and/or letters. They are TF Falcon, TF Phoenix and TF Dragon.

We no longer have any of the USPS large Priority Mailboxes, but we do have 30 medium boxes. If you want to get a SOT box out to one of the three Task Forces (TF) in Afghanistan it would be easier for you to get a box or two from your local PO and use the current addresses we have for the three Task Forces. Address are in the new MOAS website and below.

If you contact me in advance and are attending a MOAS luncheon, function, Meet & Greet, etc. I will bring the necessary MOAS SOT info letter and boxes for you to fill and send out to the Troops. Tell me if you want our usual large SOT box flat rate ($19.60) or a medium one ($15.05). Remember there are no weight restrictions on either box.

ALERT: You may not ship hand sanitizer or flammable sanitizing wipes overseas.
