The Women of Bradville June 11, 2017


For those of you who plan to attend the free performance this of the play, "The Women of Bradville", written by MOAS Member and Playwrite, Frances Rice, please note the adjusted schedule with two performances, Here is Francis most recent note on the details:

"Hello George,
There is a change in the schedule for the play. The first performance of the play will be Sunday, June 11th at 6:00PM and the second performance will be at 8:00PM.

Admission is free and tickets will be provided at the door on a first come, first served basis. There will be no pre-performance mixer.

Attendees may have dinner either before or after the performances at a local restaurant of their choice. A list of local restaurants will be provided to attendees upon their arrival.

Attached is an updated notice FYI.

The Story: A group of white and black Republicans join forces to defeat the town's corrupt white Democrat mayor, but find they can't do so without the support of the town's black residents who are the majority --- and all Democrats. Will they be won over by learning the truth about the Republican Party's rich civil rights legacy?
ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT

Sarasota resident Frances Presley Rice is a lawyer and a retired Army lieutenant colonel with 20 years of active duty service. She is also the chairman of the National Black Republican Association, as well as the executive producer with Block Starz Music Television LLC, a company she co-founded with the CEO, Bayer Mack. She has earned a Master Screenwriting Certificate from Hollywood-based ScreenwritingU.

Frances co-produced the critically-acclaimed film OSCAR MICHEAUX: THE CZAR OF BLACK HOLLYWOOD that was nominated for a Black Reel Award by the Foundation for the Advancement of African-Americans in Film (FAAAF). 

She also co-wrote and co-produced the documentary IN THE HOUR OF CHAOS which tells the story of Rev. Martin Luther King Sr. (father of civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.) and King family history.
